Day by day itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK). Transfer to your accommodation in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you can explore Arusha, visit local markets, or relax at your lodge.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, known for its large herds of elephants and iconic baobab trees. Spend the day on game drives, exploring the diverse wildlife of the park. Lunch will be served at a designated picnic area within the park. In the late afternoon, head to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park

Enjoy another full day exploring Tarangire National Park. Engage in morning and afternoon game drives to maximize wildlife viewing opportunities. Return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Depart Tarangire after breakfast and head towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. En route, you can visit the Olduvai Gorge, a significant archaeological site. Arrive at your lodge or camp near the Ngorongoro Crater for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater

Early breakfast, then descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most densely populated wildlife areas in the world. Enjoy a full day of game driving within the crater, with opportunities to spot the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard) along with many other species. Picnic lunch within the crater.
In the late afternoon, ascend from the crater and return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park

Depart after breakfast for the Serengeti National Park, one of Africa’s most famous parks renowned for its annual wildebeest migration. Enjoy game drives en route to your lodge or camp, exploring the vast plains and abundant wildlife. Arrive at your accommodation in the Serengeti for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Serengeti National Park

Spend the entire day exploring the Serengeti on game drives.
Search for predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards, as well as other iconic African wildlife. Optional activities such as hot air balloon safaris can be arranged (if interested, book in advance). Return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Departure

After breakfast, depart from the Serengeti and transfer to the nearest airstrip for your onward flight. Alternatively, you can opt for a road transfer back to Arusha. Depending on your departure time, you may have some leisure time in Arusha before heading to the airport for your flight home or to your next destination.
